Graduates from Institute for Organization Management
A Leadership Training Program Produced by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce
Angie Morgan, IOM, Administrative Vice President, of the Northeast Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce, has graduated from Institute for Organization Management (Institute), a four-year nonprofit leadership training program at the University of Georgia in Athens.
“Institute graduates are recognized across the country as leaders in their communities,” said Raymond P. Towle, IOM, CAE, the U.S. Chamber’s vice president of Institute for Organization Management. “These individuals have the knowledge, skills, and dedication to achieve professional and organizational success in the dynamic association and chamber industries.”
Since 1921, Institute has attracted association and chamber professionals from across the country to its five university sites. During the four years, most Institute participants attend the one-week sessions at the same site, building valuable relationships with others in the industry. Through a combination of required courses and electives, Institute participants are able to enhance their own organizational management skills and add new fuel to their organizations, making them run more efficiently and effectively.
“Institute provides the most comprehensive professional development available in our profession,” said Russell C. Salzman, IOM, CAE, CEO and Executive Vice President of the Institute for Real Estate Management and chairman of the Institute Board of Trustees. “The program allows attendees to share today’s best practices in an ever changing economic environment.”
Graduates of Institute receive the IOM recognition, signifying completion of 96 hours of course instruction in nonprofit management. In addition, participants can earn points toward the Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) or Certified Association Executive (CAE) certifications.
Institute is a 501(c) (3) affiliate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and is the premier nonprofit professional development program for nonprofit professionals, fostering individual growth through interactive learning and networking opportunities.
We are happy to have Tracey Nickell join our team.
Tracey joins the Chamber staff as the new Membership Development person. Tracey, who is originally from the Monfort Heights area of Cincinnati, graduated from Colerain Sr. High and then got a Bachelors of Fine Art from Ohio University. Informational Graphics was the focus of her education and she enjoyed an internship working for the local television station.
After receiving her degree, she moved to Crested Butte Colorado where she found joy in being part of a small town. In Colorado, she was instrumental in the development and growth of the local bank branch in her town. As she moved from teller to Assistant Manager she learned how truly rewarding it can be to work with the community and build relationships with your customers in order to grow your business.
While in Colorado she met and married her husband Tim. In 2002 they relocated with their two children (Sarah, 10 & Noah, 8) back to the hometown area to be closer to family. Tracey went to work at Fifth Third Bank as an Office Manager for four years before deciding to pursue a new career in real estate. Since putting residential real estate on the back burner, she felt a need to get back into the business community. The position of Membership Development is a perfect fit for her and the Chamber. If you haven’t yet met her, you will see her at all of our events. Please take a moment to introduce yourself. You may email her at tnickell@necchamber.org.
